Al Nussbaum was my father. I would be interested in any insight you can provide of his time at Leavenworth. He did indeed make it "back out" and was paroled in 1976. He passed in 1996 but I can attest to the fact he accomplished more in those years than most of us do in an entire lifetime.

I also welcome contact from anyone else out there that knew him or has an interest. I can be reached at Alison@cnyrelaw.com.

Jesse, If you are who I think you are, we need to talk. I am former U.S. Secret Service and protected Presidents Ford and Carter at the White House.(1974-1977 10-30-77) We have many things in common, and I have over 25 tears law enforcement experience that tells me you may need some help? I am a fan of yours, but more along the side of law enforcement. I also worked in narcotics and U.S. Customs to name a few and WE are both life time members of CNOA, and other organizations, I lived in Japan and studied martial arts since I was 15 and obtained my black belt in Judo.I was also tested at the Kodokan in Tokyo. I met a lady named Anne Margaret when she was at Camp Zama where I was at school and she was there for a USO show with Bob Hope. (1969-70)I was 21 years of age when I was in the USSS and stationed in Washington D.C. FMD/WHD I know about the famous visits you had made when you saw Nixon, and later Carter in 1977. I also got many certificates with the various agencies when I later went into U.S. Customs, SDPD, etc... I also have a DEA certificate as well.(After it was BNDD)I used to hear other "agents" tell me about your visit and the special "gift" you gave Nixon. Not many people know about that.
I am also a badge collector and I know an expert who is also former U.S. Treasury and has actual copies of your credential. I also studied religious relics and the Shroud of Turin and ALL related subjects as well.
Anyway, long story short, I am convinced of your leaving to protect yourself and others. What you did was the right thing. Even though lot's of people have suffered over their loss regarding you. I am one of the best there is in my field of work and I have very special expertise and experience in identifying people as I did while in U.S. Customs.
I also try to help people that really need it and I will assist you in any way I can as I still have my old contacts. It was necessary to make contact out in the "open". Once the first contact is made, all other public disclosure will be stopped. You or your trusted contact can reach me at: john.a.carman@gmail.com, I will wait for further contact so I can give you a number to call. Some day we will have to do a little "Randori", Best always John Carman, here's a website of mine and some photos www.customscorruption.com

I was in those Leavenworth bleachers the day John Cash & June Carter-Cash
performed for us. I remember John asking if a "Delraine" was out there in the crowd. We hollered back Delraine was in the hole for a escape attempt!
Cash & Co had to agree not to film/profit from the performance. But there should be somewhere, still photos of the day. We had an inmate photographer
who on the QT shot several rolls of film. After the show he passed them on to one of the Cash entorage. I remember Al Nussbaum. He had a shit load of time.
Hope he made it back out.

The Marvelettes " Please Mr. Postman " was released in 1961 and by the end of that year hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Making it Motowns first recognized hit. Recorded Hitsville U.S.A. (Studio A); April 1961 on the Tamla Label / A Trademark of the Motown Record Co.

Mary Wells " The one who really loves you " was released in 1962 and ended up number 9 on the chart on the " Motown " lable.

Tamla was Motown and it's all the same to us Detroiters.

Wells was the the third female act signed with Motown behind Claudette Rogers and Mable John.

"Bye Bye Baby" & "I don't want to take a chance " proceeded " The one who really loves you " .

"My Guy" was absolutely the defining Motown sound. Sad that she left after 1964 at the height of her career with Motown because Berry Gordy was using the money made off of My Guy and using it to promote The Supremes. In reality this is when Gordy also took a dump on The Marvelettes as well.

Another artist that should of gained so much more recognition ( Besides Flo Ballard ) then she did was Brenda Holloway. She had a fabulous voice. " Every Little Bit Hurts " blew all of the songs out of the water including the record you are highlighting. Which by the way was one of my favorites by Gladys Knight and the Pips.

Man talk about singing from the SOUL.

Holloway was signed in 1964 on the Tamla Imprint as well. After Every Little Bit Hurts, she recorded " When I'm Gone " that was actually done by Wells first but never released. Holloway recorded it and it was released after Wells departed Motown after she won a lawsuit from Gordy in 65.

Four years later she left Motown. All I know is I was bred, born and was blessed to have been brought up in the greatest musical city whose sound will never again match " Motown ".
